Ionic resistance is power paid for on every kilogram of hydrogen.

Nerva H2Sep 500 lets every electrolyser stack make more hydrogen from the same cell voltage, in a stronger sheet that drops into today's 500 µm-class designs. Developed at IIT Bombay. Made in India for electrolyser makers worldwide.

Ionic resistance is power paid for on every kilogram of hydrogen.
Bubble point and pore structure keep H₂ and O₂ apart under pressure.
Strength decides behaviour in assembly, thermal cycling and pressure swings.
Premium separators are concentrated in very few suppliers: a lead-time, price and policy risk for stack makers everywhere.
A nanomaterial-modified zirconia–polymer composite separator and a drop-in for 500 µm-class stacks: no re-tooling of frames or gaskets.

The electrolysers behind India's green hydrogen mission are being bought now, and their core components are still imported.

India's green hydrogen goal needs a domestic electrolyser industry at scale, and every electrolyser needs a separator, electrodes and a stack built around them.
Why India, why nowSources: MNRE; Business Standard / MNRE (24 Sep 2026); IEA Global Hydrogen Review 2025; Dalberg / Bharat Climate Forum (Mar 2026).
India's electrolysers are being bought now, and the components that decide their performance are still largely imported. We make them in India, for electrolyser makers here and worldwide.
Nerva H2Sep 500 gives Indian electrolyser makers a separator that outperforms the commercial benchmark in cell tests, made here and supporting domestic-content requirements.
Why GreenprasthaThe same datasheet-backed performance, quality system and lot traceability for stack makers in Europe, the Middle East and beyond.
Quality & traceabilityFrom the separator outwards: matched electrodes, zero-gap assemblies, replacement programmes and testing, on one materials science and one quality system.
What's coming nextOne materials science, one quality system, the same customers. Each product is released only when it has been proven with them.

In 2024 IIT Bombay set up the Gogri Hub for Membranes Research to address the absence of domestic membrane development and manufacturing in India. Ion-conducting membranes for alkaline water electrolysis are part of its programme. Our co-founder, Prof. Swatantra Pratap Singh, is the Hub's first Professor-in-Charge, and Nerva H2Sep 500 was developed in his research programme.

Leads science and technology: separator R&D, the product roadmap and technical validation with customers.
